Just busy

I just wanted to jump on here and tell everyone that life is crazy right now and we havent done anything exciting...well I lie...we did get the wood all stacked and neat. We also bought some stuff at Lowes to make life a little easier. We bought a lawn mower (one that I can start), a snow blower, some cedar fence for the garden and some lights for Garys projects (like he'll ever get to them!).

Im excited for my new lawn mower now I can mow the grass when Gary is gone, I couldnt start the old one. I'll have to take a pic of it :)

Work is hectic as always, but Im getting in the swing of things so everything is going good. I am behind on my school work though...and I have another test on Saturday!!

Today the battery in the truck died...Grant came and jump started it...I drove it to work...and it died again!! I had to call AAA and ended up buying a new battery...not a big deal, just a pain!!

Gary is working in Prescott Arizona until January. I will see him weekends though, so thats good. Except this weekend...he goes elk hunting.

Ok thats all I have for now, gotta get ready for bed!!

Logging fun!

Well since gas prices are insane we thought we would try to conserve some energy and moolah by using our wood burning stove this winter. So we called the forest service and bought our firewood permit, $30 for 4 cords of wood. Little did I know that 4 cords is a lot of wood! A cord is 4x4x8 of stacked wood. We drove to Evanston, WY and we logged near Mirror Lake. Our first trip I almost got smashed by a falling tree, luckally I cant get those pictures to load. So were just sharing the pictures from when we got home. Our 2nd & 3rd trips we were very blessed to find a wood pile that the forest service had cut (yes, we were allowed to take it) so we loaded up and came home...then the fun began.

Enjoy the video!

(This is my first time ever making a video on the computer)

Here is a slide show from our camping trip.
We had a blast and came home exhausted,
I cant wait to go back and explore some more.

Making life easy

I bought the Swiffer Wet Jet today and I love it! I got it because our old mop has 'kicked the bucket' (I crack myself up). My sister in law told me about this a while back and I was hesitant to buy it cause I figured like everything else it would not live up to its claims.

Well I got it home, swept the floor, and started wet jetting! I love it! Its so easy and there is no bucket to lug around. My only complaint is that it left my hard wood floors streaky, but I think I can fix that by buying the wood floor solution they have. It doesn't replace, getting down on your knees and scrub kind of mopping but it works for day to day stuff.

I'm supposed to go back to work tomorrow, but because every one is confused about schedules, so I wont be going in until Thursday...one more day to relax...

Just kidding! I cant relax, I want to finish my paper tomorrow...so I'll be doing that all day. I really wish I had chosen an easier topic. My topic is 'Effective Methods for Teaching Children with Autism'. It's really interesting but its taking a lot of research.

Gary gets home on Friday (hopefully). He'll have to go back out of town the following week, but I'm so excited because after the 26Th he'll be done over there and I'll have him back home!!

The saying that "absence makes the heart grow fonder" really is true. Being away from Gary so much has made this summer hard, but its also made us realize how much we enjoy each others company and no matter what arguments may happen were still best friends, and we know we are meant to be together.

Update: 8/31/08
I also bought a Roomba robotic vacuum....its AMAZING! Roomba coupled with my Swiffer wetjet, have made my floors so clean. Roomba is a must if you have a dog that sheds and a life besides cleaning.

Bunny Love

I just wanted to share a picture of Ben sleeping with his bunny. Isnt he adorable?

We have Eggs!

Our beloved chickens have started laying eggs. At least 4 of them have. Yay!!
These are the eggs I collected today, please excuse the dirt and chicken poo. I took the picture before I washed them off.
